About me

Hi, I’m Katie, a midwife originally from England with a passion for supporting women and families through pregnancy, birth, and beyond. I began my career with the NHS before relocating to Switzerland in 2019, where I’ve been embracing a new culture (and learning German along the way!). Since 2021, I’ve been working on a labor ward in Zürich, and I truly love what I do. In 2022, I noticed a real need for accessible English birth preparation resources within the expat community, so I began offering birth preparation courses designed specifically for English-speaking parents.
Then in 2023, I expanded my services to include postnatal care, which has been one of the most fulfilling parts of my journey so far. Supporting new parents during those early days is something I feel deeply honoured to do.
Outside of work, I’m a big fan of the outdoors, whether I’m hiking, exploring, or just soaking up some fresh air. I also love getting lost in a good book, painting and writing.
My Philosophy
I see birth as a natural, healthy event, not something to fear, but something to understand and trust. My approach is rooted in the belief that women’s bodies are inherently capable and that cultivating a positive mindset during pregnancy and birth can make a real difference.
While I deeply believe in the power and normalcy of physiological birth, I also fully support each person's individual choices, whether that means planning for a home birth, choosing pain relief, or opting for a cesarean. There is no one “right” way to give birth, and every path is valid.
My goal is to offer evidence-based guidance and truly personalised care that adapts to your unique needs. I aim to build trust, reduce fear, and create a calm, supportive space where you feel seen, informed, and respected, wherever you are on your journey.
